It seems that new Ad Networks are popping up all the time using DirectTrack and many seem to go out of business before they ever pay publishers. How many of these networks are really trustworthy? Also I notice that many start with 2 tier commissions then in mid stream cut the program after you already referred several affiliates. Or sometimes, your subs simply disappear. In one case I knew my referral was still part of the network and earning commissions but I stopped getting 2nd tier commissions for them. When I emailed the network they said that the sub was terminated for spam but I told them I knew they were still active. the next day I was terminated with no reason!!!

I have seen the same type of issues. Commission Junction tops the list of affiliate networks that for no apparent reason other than to screw affiliates dropped payment to the second tier.

One thing I didn't like about CJ when I launched a merchant program on there was the fact they wouldn't give me any kickbacks for bringing new publishers to their network!
