Just curious on people's thoughts for an online company using offline advertising. Is offline advertising best saved for large companies? Have people done any sort of offline advertising for their online company that has worked? I'm on a fairly small budget (and am just starting this company) and am curious on people's advice as far as where to start for advertising and whatnot, and whether my focus should be on SEO and maybe a PPC campaign, or are there better routes to start with?
At ProExercise.com we use offline advertsing to promote our online web site. We work with local youth sports, high schools etc and give them a percentage of the earnings generated from the marketing material circulated.
Conversions are higher offline because you are focusing on a more select group and the merchants selling the product are less in a local area. Online, you get more people browsing offers and comparing with other sites out there.
You could advertise offline and make your online business successful. But if I were you I would spend it on PPC advertising which will attract targeted traffic.
But you can also take note of the suggestions already made, I know they would work also.
